A long presence in Yorkville, IL has allowed us to be unique, strong and compassionate.
We are affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and are supported by the Northern Illinois Synod.

Our strong roots reach outward to local organizations whose mission most matches our own; including Hesed House, Kendall County Community Food Pantry, Salvation Army and many others within our community and surrounding areas.
Our mission: God with us. Touching lives through Christ.

SUNDAY SERVICE

  1. PALM SUNDAY READINGS
    SUNDAY, APRIL 5
Today, we encounter the paradox that defines our faith: Jesus Christ is glorified king and humiliated servant. We too are full of paradox: like Peter, we fervently desire to follow Christ, but find ourselves afraid, denying God. We wave palms in celebration today as Christ comes into our midst, and we follow with trepidation as his path leads to death on the cross. Amid it all we are invited into this paradoxical promise of life through Christ’s broken body and outpoured love in a meal of bread and wine. We begin this week that stands at the center of the church year, anticipating the completion of God’s astounding work.
  2. Procession with Palms Jesus enters Jerusalem
    Isaiah 50:4-9a; Psalm 31:9-16 Philippians 2:5-11 Matthew 26:14-27:66
Isaiah 50:4-9a - The servant of the Lord submits to suffering Psalm 31:9-16 - Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit. (Ps. 31:5) Philippians 2:5-11 - Humbled to the point of death on a cross Matthew 26:14--27:66 - The passion of the Lord

Continuing Support
A message from the council president
While we all would prefer to be together, it is vitally important that we continue to receive the Lord’s message and guidance that we need so much during this time.  We ask that you prayerfully consider the needs of the church and your ability to help meet them.

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, we meet in a casual atmosphere serving breakfast at 8:30 am then gathering for a blended service at 9:00 am each Sunday.

Regular Sunday Service Schedule
9:00 am Contemporary Service
9:30 am Sunday School
10:30 am Traditional Service

Children are welcome at Sunday service. School-age children meet at 9:30 am Sunday mornings for Sunday School.

In summer months, school-age
children hear a special Gospel message appropriate for their age. They
share their knowledge with the congregation at each Sunday service.
