The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. Please support one another in our discernment of the meaning of Christ's suffering and his bodily resurrection through the worship services and events during the Holy Week.
Palm Sunday/Passion Sunday
Relive the joy the crowd experienced on the first Palm Sunday by taking part in the Palm Sunday procession led by our Sunday School children and youth during the two services. Relive what it is like to be caught between the exuberance of Palm Sunday and the pending doom of Good Friday during the same service.
We remember Christ's loving acts of washing disciples' feet and instituting the Eucharist - Holy Communion - on this night. More importantly, Christ teaches us to love one another. The focal point of the service is the table on which the last supper is served and the room where the foot washing takes place. Let's join the 12 disciples by gathering around the table to receive the Holy Communion while meditating on the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Altar will be stripped at the end of the service.
The focal point of Good Friday is the cross, representing the brokenness of humanity seen through the Seven Last Words and the hope that the Cross has made possible for us. After the meditation on the last words, congregants will be invited, as they wish, to the pray at the front of the church by lighting candles and placing them in prayer boxes. It will be a service of meditations and prayers.
About Our Celebration
We will celebrate the joy of Easter in both services with full procession, Easter Proclamations, joyful singing, and special music. For the Sunrise Service, we will open the celebration with a meditation on the Light of Christ with the lighting of candles in darkness.
